This notice applies to the German-English website about change at https://evolution.surf. It explains website delivery and contact with the operator. Independent processing by your browser or operating system is governed by their own privacy information.
The website is delivered using Cloudflare Workers with static files. This notice describes the evolution.surf configuration checked on 23 October 2026.

Technical delivery using Cloudflare Workers
evolution.surf is delivered through Cloudflare Workers with static files. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, operating a distributed network.
When serving the public website, Cloudflare processes technical data including IP address, requested URL, time, HTTP method, status and browser information such as the User-Agent. This supports delivery, availability and abuse prevention. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with a legitimate interest in secure and functional delivery.
The application has no analytics, writes no access logs of its own and stores no visitor profiles. Workers Observability is disabled in the deployment configuration. Cloudflare Web Analytics with Real User Monitoring and Speed Brain are disabled for evolution.surf. Website code includes no analytics beacons. Cloudflare may still process platform operational and security data. Retention depends on operational needs, contractual terms and legal obligations; zero-day retention is not promised.
Depending on the activity, Cloudflare acts as a processor or independent controller. Processing on behalf of the operator is subject to an Article 28 GDPR agreement. Processing outside the EU/EEA, particularly in the USA, is possible. Cloudflare’s data processing agreement provides EU standard contractual clauses and supplementary safeguards for relevant transfers, and describes subprocessors. Browsers may cache public files and check for updates. No personal identifiers are added to these files. Search terms and topic selections are not sent as URL parameters or logged by website code.
Always Online and the Internet Archive
Always Online is enabled for evolution.surf. Through this integration, Cloudflare may share the hostname and frequently requested public page paths with the Internet Archive so that public pages can be archived and served as copies during outages. Such requests may also transmit the requested URL and technical parts of the request. This is distinct from normal website delivery. The existing setting is retained to support archiving and availability.
Cookies, search and interface state
Website code sets no cookies and uses no localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or service worker. There are no visitor profiles, audience measurements or saved reading histories.
Search filters a local article index loaded from evolution.surf in the current browser tab. Search terms and topic choices are not sent to a search provider, written to the URL or stored persistently. The language switch opens the corresponding German or English page.
The decorative water animation in the hero is calculated locally in your browser. It can be paused and respects the system preference for reduced motion. Your choice is neither stored persistently nor transmitted.
Necessary Cloudflare security cookies
Cloudflare may use technically necessary security cookies, such as cf_clearance following a challenge. Whether a challenge occurs and the applicable lifetime depend on the actual hosting configuration. The application itself still sets no cookies.
Interactive learning activities and film recommendations
Moth selections, model generations, survival settings, image comparisons, time windows and quiz answers are calculated only in the current tab and are neither persistently stored nor transmitted. There is no leaderboard or user account. Documented satellite images are served locally like the other images. ARTE documentaries are external links; ARTE is contacted only when you deliberately follow a link. No third-party video player is embedded.
Images, fonts and external services
Images, icons and our own program files are served locally with the website. System fonts are used; Google Fonts and other external font services are not contacted. There are no embedded videos, social-media widgets or remote preview images.
Cloudflare email address obfuscation is enabled. Cloudflare may rewrite published email addresses and insert a helper script under the same domain so that addresses remain readable in the browser. This existing feature protects contact addresses from automated collection. It is not an analytics tool integrated by us.
Only when you open an external link does your browser contact that provider. External web links open in a new tab without a referrer address. The destination may process its own connection data under its own privacy terms.
This website has no upload feature and does not access your camera, microphone or location. Profile links in structured data are references only; they do not load content from those platforms.
AI in creation, no AI service during visits
AI assists in editorial, design and technical work. This is separate from website operation: delivered code contains no AI chatbot or AI API connection. Neither search terms nor reading activity are sent to AI providers by the website.
Artistic AI illustrations are displayed as local files; viewing them does not generate new images. Find out more on Mario & Aik and in the legal notice.
Email, telephone and post
This website has no contact form. If you contact me by email, telephone or post, I process the contact details and content you provide to handle your enquiry. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, postal address and message.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with an interest in answering enquiries. Article 6(1)(b) may apply to contractual or pre-contractual requests, and Article 6(1)(c) to legally required retention.
Recipients may include email, telephone and postal providers used for the communication. Publishing an email address does not mean email is delivered without such services. Website code does not automatically forward messages to AI services.
JL Consulting Group GmbH receives mail at the published Swiss address. Forwarding follows the commissioned service; where digitisation is commissioned, message content may also be processed. See adresse-mieten.ch privacy notice ↗.
Contact is voluntary. Without information needed for a reply I may be unable to handle your enquiry. Data is retained only as needed for the enquiry, applicable retention duties or legal defence, and then deleted.
Postal reception in Switzerland
Postal enquiries involve processing at the published Swiss address. The European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision for Switzerland. Transfers may take place under Article 45 GDPR, subject to other applicable requirements. The postal address does not relocate the controller’s permanent residence to Switzerland.
Your data protection rights
Where legal conditions are met, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons related to your particular situation. Any consent given may be withdrawn for the future.
Please use the contact details above. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, especially where you habitually reside, work or suspect an infringement. This website makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Updates and search engines
Last updated: 25 October 2026. This notice is adjusted when functions or services change.
A sitemap is available for search engines. New or changed public pages are notified through IndexNow. Mario has expressly approved IndexNow for evolution.surf. Direct notifications transmit public page URLs and a verification key, not search terms or reading histories. Notifications are an editorial publishing step and do not run when visitors read pages. No URLs are submitted from the local preview.
Cloudflare Crawler Hints is already enabled for evolution.surf and may notify search engines of public page URLs for recrawling. This existing integration is retained. The direct initial IndexNow submission supplements it as a deliberate publishing step. An enabled Crawler Hints switch does not prove that any particular URL has been submitted or indexed.
